Enjoy a unique day out with friends and take to the stand
A stone’s throw below the Trundle our Clay Pigeon shooting ground is situated in a stunning bowl-like arena. Suitable for novices and crack-shots alike, our experienced instructors provide expert tuition based on the level of ability.
What's included:
- Full briefing with your instructor
- Expert tuition while moving around a circuit of five stands, 10 clays per stand
- Gun, cartridges, tuition, safety wear and clays all included
- The experience lasts two hours, with 50 clays per person
Availability
Available for morning and afternoon slots. Runs on Saturdays and Sunday at least once a month.
Participant Guidelines
This experience is open to everybody. Children are also able to shoot, as long as they can hold the gun. Instructors must be made aware in advance.
Please note: anyone deemed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to participate.
Duration
This experience lasts two hours. Arrive 15 minutes prior to your experience for the safety briefing.
Dress Code
Please wear comfortable footwear, a cap and sensible clothing and dress for the weather. Always ensure shoulders, arms and legs are covered.
Numbers on the day
Share the briefing with up to 30 other participants. Guests will be put into small groups of five people per instructor.
Weather
Clay Shooting can take place rain or shine. In the unlikely event the weather is seen as a danger to shoot, you will be contacted and the date will be rescheduled.

This is possible, however, we will need to know in advance. Please let the team know in advance on 01243 755055.

Select and book your date. You will be directed to our ticketing website to confirm your time and date.
1. Choose an experience and place your order
Browse through our experiences and find the perfect gift or treat yourself to something you've always wanted to do. Add your gift to the basket and then proceed through our secure checkout. You'll receive an order confirmation at the end of the checkout confirming all your details and what you have purchased. Alternatively, if you want to book a date and time there and then, this can also be done online.
2. Once you receive your voucher
Your gift will be sent within three working days of purchase. Inside you'll find your Goodwood gift voucher which includes a map of where to go and what you need to bring with you.
3. Book your experience
Please choose a date and time that suits you from the available dates online. Call the Ticket Office on 01243 755055 and make your booking. Your voucher will be valid for 12 months from date of purchase and your voucher must be booked and used within this time.
4. Enjoy your experience
The time has come to enjoy your Clay Shooting experience at the Goodwood Clay Shooting ground. If we are experiencing extreme weather conditions, please do give us a quick call to confirm your experience is still running.
