Attending the event
As with any exclusive club, the Members’ Meeting is intended to be stylish and relaxed – an informal yet smart event, with everyone asked to respect our style guide. It is a great excuse for both ladies and gentlemen to wear their smartest countryside attire, and when the weather can’t make up its mind, a wax jacket with tweed accessories wouldn’t go amiss, not forgetting an umbrella.
Please remember that the weather is likely to be chilly in the evenings, so we recommend bringing layers. Coats may be stored in the Cloakroom, available at the event. Parking is on grass so suitable footwear is recommended, including wellingtons when wet.
The safety and security of all visitors to the Members' Meeting is of utmost importance to us, and therefore we ask that you co-operate by not bringing any illegal items onto the site with you. Bags will be searched on the entrance too.
We also ask for your vigilance on matters of security. If you see or hear anything suspicious, please bring it immediately to the attention of the Police or to a member of staff.
Drones
Drones are not permitted on the Goodwood Estate under any circumstances unless prior written permission has been obtained via the Estate Office. Permission will only be granted where the operator of the drone operates within the guidelines of the Air Navigation Order or the Civil Aviation Authority. Please note that some drones may be in use over the event for filming.
Prohibited items
Prohibited items include sharp objects and knives (other than sensible picnic cutlery), excessive alcohol (alcohol for personal consumption with a picnic is acceptable at stewards' discretion), drugs, legal highs, any animals (except guide/assistance dogs) and drones.
You can bring your own picnic into the Members' Meeting and a reasonable amount of alcohol is permitted to enjoy around the circuit. Please note that picnics and alcohol are not allowed in the paddocks.
Nearer the event, we will publish our guide to where to find vegetarian, vegan, halal, gluten and dairy free and dairy alt food and drinks.
There are also a number of onsite restaurants available, for full details, please click the link below.
Crèche facilities are available near the Super Shell Lawn, behind the Woodcote Grandstand, for children aged eight years and under. Children may be left with qualified carers for a period of one hour for a small charge. This charge will go to charity. Pushchairs may also be left at the Crèche.

If accepted, please bring along certification if appropriate and ensure your dog is wearing a branded harness if you have one.
Please be aware that there will be loud and sudden noises at Members' Meeting.

Family
To help us maintain our safeguarding of children on event, children under the age of 12 are required to wear a wristband at all Goodwood Motorsport events. Children aged 12 and under do not require an admission ticket but must be accompanied by an adult and are required to wear a wristband, on which you can write your phone number. Wristbands must be ordered in advance online, or by calling our Ticket Office on +44 (0)1243 755055.
Run by our friendly family experience team, we'll be offering a broad range of fun and creative nature activities for kids to get stuck in to over the Members' Meeting weekend, including:
- Hapa Zome
- Natural paint and paint brushes
- Natural jewellery
- Wood cookies
- Natural Nests
- Spring pictures
- Story time
We would recommend visiting the Family Nature Activities tipi when you arrive at the event to explore and book the activities.
Children aged 12 and under can enter the Members’ Meeting for free, but require a free-of-charge children’s wristband that can be pre-booked online below or by calling the Ticket Office on +44 (0)1243 755055.
Please note that all children under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
On-event facilities
If you have any questions whilst you're at Members' Meeting, please visit our Information points, located around the event.
A full itinerary, timetable and map will be available on the Goodwood Motorsport App during the event weekend, available on the App Store and Google Play Store. We encourage you to download the Goodwood Motorsport App ahead of your visit.
We do our best to cater for everyone, including those with allergies and dietary requirements.
Nearer the event, we will publish our guide to where to find vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, dairy free, dairy alt and halal food at the 81st Members' Meeting.
If your allergy is not shown, please speak to the individual vendors for more information about their ingredients.
If you lose something at Members' Meeting please visit the nearest Information point as the lost item may have been handed in. Alternatively, telephone the Ticket Office on 01243 755055 or email ticket.office@goodwood.com providing as much information as possible about the item and where you feel you lost it.
If you find any lost property, please hand it into the Information Shed outside the Earls Court Motor Show.
If you lose a person from your party, please report to the nearest Information point or to a member of Goodwood staff and then return to the last place you were together. Ideally, the staff member will escort you but under no circumstances leave the staff member until you have given us your contact details.
Often, people in the heat of the moment, report an incident and then disappear, making it impossible to find them again. Most people do tend to return to the last place you saw them, so try not to stray too far from that point.
If you have children or vulnerable people in your group, you are strongly encouraged to take a photo of them on a mobile device as you enter the event. That way, you won't have to struggle to describe them accurately and what they are wearing.
Children under 12 years, or any members of your party that you feel appropriate, should wear one of our wristbands that you are able to write your phone number on. These are pre-booked online (choose Tickets Only and then select Children 12 & Under) or by calling Ticket Office on +44 (0)1243 755055.
Don't worry about not knowing how many coats to bring, as we know the British weather is temperamental and you may not want to have to carry them around. So, to make it easy, there are cloakroom facilities available located next to the Ticket Office.
Please note that lockers are not available at Members' Meeting.
Every guest, including the drivers, can score points for their House, Methuen, Aubigny, Torbolton or Darnley, by taking part in fun activities ranging from tug-of-war to a duck herding. These House activities certainly aren’t compulsory (if you and your guests just want to sit back, relax, and enjoy the action taking place on the circuit, that’s absolutely fine with us), but they really do add to the sense of camaraderie and fun. Honorary House Captains lead the four Members’ Meeting Houses. All famous names from the world of motorsport, they bring enthusiasm and a competitive spirit to the on-track and off-track proceedings.
All attending the meeting will be assigned to one of the four houses.
Each house name has been carefully chosen for its relevance and importance to the Duke of Richmond and his family across the generations.
Sustainability
The Goodwood family has been stewards of the land for centuries, working to preserve the estate and environment beyond. From reducing waste to off-setting carbon emissions, we are continually working to make our events greener. We:
- Encourage our visitors to use public transport or car share to get to our events, to help reduce car emissions and traffic in the local area
- Supply drinking water stations across the events and encourage visitors and staff to bring their own reusable bottles
- Provide recycling bins for plastic bottles and cans around the event, along with further recycling in back of house and kitchen areas
- Plant thousands of trees each year and continue to improve the environment through numerous hedge laying and re-wilding projects
Since 2019, we have:
- Introduced a reusable cup deposit scheme at all Goodwood events.
- Increased the number of complimentary water fountains at our events.
- Switched to using LED tower lights across our events.
- Successfully trialled using bio-diesel in our generators at the Goodwood Revival and Festival of Speed.
- Doubled the number of customer bins to improve recycling on events.
- Across the estate, we planted more than 75,000 trees and laid long stretches of hedgerow.
Currently, we are working to:
- Significantly cut single-use plastic bottles at events.
- Work with South Downs Water who have developed a 100% recycled plastic water bottle. Where bottled water is sold, we will use recycled bottles only. We have chosen this route as 100% recycled plastic has a lower carbon footprint than using aluminium cans.
- Ensure on event food concessions use paper or compostable packaging.
- Improve recycling of glass and cardboard in all of our kitchens.
- Move to using bio-diesel in all of our generators at events over the next three years, to reduce our carbon footprint markedly.
- Expand our use of solar hybrid generators.
- Continue with a voluntary carbon offset levy to our ticket buyers. This funds a number of tree planting, hedge laying and rewilding schemes across the estate.
Our Event Sustainability Management System is certified by BSI to ISO 20121, which has helped us to focus our work on sustainability and plan for the future.
You can find out more and see our policy here. Feedback can be sent to sustainableevents@goodwood.com.
