1952 Aston Martin DB3 Works Team Sports-Racing Two-Seater

Estimate: £2,800,000 – 3,300,000 chassis #5 of five Works cars. This DB3 is a rare survivor of four of the world’s most gruelling endurance events: the 1953 Sebring 12-Hours, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 1000-mile Mille Miglia and the first Goodwood 9-Hours race where it placed first with Peter Collins and Pat Griffith at the wheel, against the likes of Stirling Moss in his C-Type Jaguar.

Bruce McLaren’s 1964 Cooper-Zerex-Oldsmobile ‘Jolly Green Giant’

Estimate on request.The very first sports car to carry the Kiwi team badge of the late Grand Prix and Le Mans-winning driver and constructor Bruce McLaren, regarded as the taproot­­ of the entire modern McLaren marque. The unconventional painting of the chassis gave the sports car its ‘Jolly Green Giant’ nickname, while the pair’s on-track victories earned it widespread admiration. Unearthed from storage in South America, the Cooper has returned to British soil for the first time in 57 years.

The Ex-works/Major H.O.D. Segrave 1922 'Strasbourg' Sunbeam Grand Prix Racing Two-Seater

Estimate: £700,000 – 800,000, the first of a quartet constructed to contest that year’s French Grand Prix, designed by Ernest Henry who had previous Grand Prix success with Peugeot and Ballot. All four survive today. This car, chassis number 1, was driven in Strasbourg by Sir Henry Segrave, later Grand Prix winner and Land and Water Speed Record breaker. The Sunbeam was beautifully restored in the 1970s to its 1922 configuration.

1989 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Volante ‘Prince of Wales’

Estimate: £300,000 – 500,000. Produced for just two years, to the desired specification of the young Charles III, this rare model combines Vantage V8 power with understated Volante looks. Converted to left-hand drive at Newport Pagnell, it is offered with original manual transmission in the desirable livery of British Racing Green over tan leather.

2013 Land Rover Q40 Defender 110 XS by TECNIQ

Estimate: £120,000 – 180,000 offered without reserve. A one-off version of the automotive stalwart, extensively redesigned and re-engineered by British specialists TECNIQ, honouring 40 years’ active service of the Chinook helicopter in the RAF. Precision engineering includes an upgraded chassis with all-new suspension, powered by a Mustang-derived Ford 2.3-litre engine delivering 307bhp. The Q40 is being sold in aid of the RAF Association and the lot also includes a visit to the exclusive RAF Club in London, plus a genuine RAF Chinook crew flying suit.

2009 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 722 S Roadster

Estimate: £240,000 – 320,000. Showcasing the combined engineering excellence of Mercedes-Benz and its then Formula 1 partner McLaren, the SLR has at its heart one of the most powerful engines of a road-going sportscar - a 5.5-litre 24 valve unit delivering 617bhp and a top speed of 207mph. This one-owner example, which has covered just 50 miles from new, is one of only 150 722 Roadsters produced, celebrating the 1955 Mille Miglia victory of Stirling Moss whose race starting number was 722.

A Unique Lenticular Image ‘Avro’ Lancaster over Beachy Head’

offered to raise funds for 617 Squadron (The Dambusters) 80^th Anniversary Appeal, estimate £10,000 – 15,000

An interactive “lenticular” photograph of an Avro Lancaster bomber, which appears to move across the background of Beachy Head as the viewer passes it.Offered and created by Jim Dooley Living Pictures Ltd (Jim was chairman of fundraising for the RAF Bomber Command Memorial in Piccadilly), it is mounted with signatures of members of 617 Squadron, including Johnny Johnson. The work will raise funds for a stained-glass window commemorating 617 Squadron, better known as the Dambusters, at St John the Baptist Church in Scampton, Lincs, where the crews worshipped during the Second World War.
