Our ‘Go solo’ package, consisting of 15 hours training in one of our Cessna 172s or the Cub, may be enough to get you to your first solo flight! If you are unsure about taking on a full course to obtain a licence, this is a great place to start.

All our ab-inito training courses start the same way, with learning the basics of the aircraft controls. You continue by using these controls to achieve level flight, climbing, descending and turning, which form the building blocks of all that follows. These handling skills are then put together in the circuit, where you learn to take off and land the aircraft.
Once you have reached the necessary level of proficiency here, your Instructor will send you on your first solo flight around the circuit. This will only last a few minutes, but is the first milestone in your flying training. Nobody forgets their first solo!
Why not continue to your full pilot's licence?
Light Aircraft Pilot's Licence
The Light Aircraft Pilot’s Licence requires a minimum of 30 hours training and is the ideal licence for the leisure pilot.

Private Pilot's Licence
The PPL is internationally recognised standard and is a good place to start if you wish to advance to Commercial flying.
