Best advice for a golf beginner: Learn the basics of the game, practice them and have fun. Take lessons from a PGA Professional, your friends may mean well but do not know how to teach.

Notable golfing achievements: I have three. My first was being the youngest player to ever win Gosport & Stokes Bay Men’s Club Championship at 14 years old – I've won it three times since. The second was being part of the Hampshire County Squad between 11-15 years old. My final one was being a member of the Bournemouth University Golf Team between 2015-2019 - we won the league in my final year. 

Best advice for a beginner golfer: Get lessons at the start to gain the understanding of basic fundamentals of the golf swing and set up. Practice hard and be patient for improvements. 

A two-time graduate of Chichester University, Steve has an Honours degree in Sport and Exercise Science and a Masters degree in Exercise Physiology. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Precision Nutrition Coach and holds extensive qualifications in personal training.
