A Rich History
Goodwood has played host to the Sport of Kings for over 200 years.
From its tentative launch as a flat horseracing course for local officers by the third Duke of Richmond in 1802, to its colourful programme of events, fixtures, weddings and entertaining, Goodwood is one of Britain’s great estates and historic homes.

I came here three years ago but once you’re bitten, you have to come back. It is always atmospheric here, it doesn’t matter what the weather conditions are, it is always a memorable day. Everything about Goodwood is done for love, it’s been crafted lovingly over centuries.
There are some amazing racecourses around the world, but without fail you feel like you’re in one of the most special.
The Qatar Goodwood Festival is a beautiful week and Goodwood is the most picturesque racecourse in the country.
