Why Ladies' Day?
The flagship race for fillies and mares takes centre stage on day 3 with the £600,000 Group 1 Qatar Nassau Stakes. This race was inaugurated in 1840, and we look forward to seeing another great name added to its illustrious roll of honour following Lady Bowthorpe's emotional win in 2021 for trainer William Jarvis and multi award-winning music agent. Emma Banks. More recently Nashwa stormed to success in the hands of leading female jockey Hollie Doyle.
The Markel Magnolia Cup
Twelve fearless women, 40mph racehorses and the world's most beautiful racecourse - there can be only one winner. Reflect on the successes of previous years, including 2019 winner Khadijah Mellah, who created history by becoming the first Muslim rider to race and ride in an amateur horse race. There is nothing quite like the Magnolia Cup. Our 2024 race will be raising money for My Sister's House.
