The Owners and Trainers Restaurant is located along the Horsewalk close to the Richmond Enclosure. Here owners are able to enjoy a complimentary lunch for up to six people. 

The Owners & Trainers Pavilion is situated to the right of the parade ring. It is an exclusive bar offering complimentary tea and coffee throughout the day and plays host to our raceday winning connections. 

Exclusive Viewing
An Owners and Trainers exclusive seated viewing area can be found at the front of the March Grandstand just below the Duke's Box. 

Owners are entitled to one Car Park 6 Owners' label per runner. This will be sent to the registered owner by post (from Weatherbys) prior to the meeting.  For any additional car parking requirements, please email owners@goodwood.com

Disabled parking is available on a first-come, first served basis at the front of Car Park 5 next to the Richmond Enclosure entrance (please display your Blue Badge). For more information about accessibility click here.

Please can we ask that Gazebos are not erected in such a way that they block other car parking spaces. If car parking becomes too limited then we may have to ask you to take them down.

Private Aircraft Landing 

Goodwood Aerodrome is situated two miles from the racecourse. All aircraft (fixed wing and helicopters) must land and take off from Goodwood Aerodrome. Complimentary transport will be arranged to and from the racecourse.

Restaurant Reservations

The Horsewalk Owners & Trainers' Restaurant is located within the Richmond Enclosure. Here owners are able to enjoy a complimentary lunch for up to six people, with the option to add more people for an additional charge.

Private Box

If you decide that you might like a private box for the day, call Hospitality on 01243 755054. Subject to availability, we are pleased to offer a 10% discount to Owners & Trainers with a confirmed runner. Naturally, your food & liquor will be charged on consumption. Please kindly note that we do not permit food and drink to be brought into the Racecourse.

At Goodwood we embrace quintessentially British style – whether that’s high fashion or something more classic, it’s about a relaxed yet chic look. We are known for a distinctive style - linen suits, Panama hats and chic dresses are de-rigeur.

Ever since King Edward VII relaxed the dress code in the 19th century, we have enjoyed a carefree holiday feel here, unlike any other racecourse. 

Within the Richmond Enclosure:

Gentlemen are required to wear a jacket and tie. Boys aged 7-15 years are asked to wear a long sleeved collared shirt (no polo shirts).

Ladies, it's all about the garden party look. A floaty or floral dress, an elegant top and trouser/skirt combination that is suitable for England in summer. We recommend that you leave your stiletto heels at home, as the uneven ground can be tricky to walk on.

Every Owner or Partnership is entitled to six Owners’ Badges per runner and a Syndicate up to twelve badges (in exchange for a reduced number of complimentary lunches). In an effort to improve the experience of Owners and Trainers at the world-renowned Qatar Goodwood Festival, entry to the Parade Ring, Pre Parade Ring and Winners enclosure this year will only be permitted with a Parade Ring pass. This will ensure that the Parade Ring, Pre Parade Ring and Winners enclosure remains a comfortable and safe environment.

Trainers with runners on the day and Jockeys with a ride will be entitled to two Owners' badges each. 

Parade Ring passes will be race-specific, although there will be day and week passes available where appropropriate for those with multiple runners.

Children under the age of 12 will not be permitted access into the parade ring, children between the ages of 12 to 16 will need to be accompanied by a parent. 

Where to collect your Badges?

These will be available at the Owners and Trainers desk at the Richmond Enclosure entrance on arrival. Across the road from Car Park 6.

• A maximum of 6 Parade Ring access badges per runner will be allocated to you, by race, at the Owners & Trainers Desk on arrival.

If you are experiencing any issues, please contact owners@goodwood.com or 01243 755161 by 4pm on the day before the raceday stating your pass card number, the name of the horse, and the names of the people to whom the badges should be given. We will not admit entry to owners who have not pre-allocated their badges in advance.

What if my horse is entered, but not declared to run?

Owners of horses that are entered but not declared to run, are entitled to two Richmond Enclosure badges. These badges can only be collected from the Owners & Trainers' Desk at the West Entrance on presentation of your PASS card. Please contact owners@goodwood.com.

Goodwood Stables has 130 loose boxes and accommodation for racing staff.

Stable Staff

Stable staff are provided with complimentary food on all racedays in the stables canteen. We also issue Best Turned-Out awards for each race at Goodwood with a minimum prize of £100.
