Why should I support?
We had to take the difficult decision not to hold the Festival of Speed and Revival last year. For a business like ours, which is all about bringing people together to enjoy the things they love, social distancing has had a catastrophic impact on our ability to operate. It is a worrying time and we are doing what we can to salvage a future for our events.
We rely on our headline events to generate all of our operating profit, their absence places not only future events but even the long-term future of the estate under considerable strain. It is our hope that, with the renewal of the Goodwood Supporters’ Association (GSA), our members and the wider motorsport community will stand beside us as we weather this storm and preserve motorsport at Goodwood.
What is the GSA?
The GSA is a group of people that come together to support Goodwood through various challenges. First created twenty-five years ago, initially to reopen the Goodwood Motor Circuit, the challenge today is very different, not one about planning approval as it was then, but one that threatens to undo so much of the original work that has made it possible for us to share the passion and enjoyment of motor racing at Goodwood. The new GSA will be vital in keeping this dream alive. We've created a series of benefits to recognise the contributions of members of the GSA at different levels. These gestures of appreciation are our way of thanking all of you for your invaluable support.

Become a GSA Patron
Those wanting to go above and beyond can become a GSA Patron for life. We will recognise each of our Patrons by engraving their names into the new pit wall at the circuit to serve as a perpetual reminder of our appreciation. They will also receive a special bespoke GSA pin, and a Patron’s armband, inspired by those worn by Freddie March in period. We hope people will wear the armband with pride at circuits around the world, acknowledging them as protectors of motorsport at Goodwood. The armband will allow access for the holder plus one guest onto the pit lane gantry at the Revival forever. By becoming a Patron, you will not only be supporting Goodwood but also the future of historic motor racing.
To find out more, please email us at patrons@goodwood.com with a contact telephone number.

What if my ticket value is more than the level of GSA I would like to choose?
Please select the level of GSA that you would like to donate and complete the webform. Our team will then process your request. If you have a positive balance after your donation has been processed, then your Goodwood account will be credited with that amount. You can then use this credit against future purchases, including your event tickets for 2021. If you have any queries or would like a refund of the remaining balance please contact motorsportenquiries@goodwood.com.
I have given my ticket to someone as a gift. What are my options?
If you have given your tickets to someone else, you will need to give them the new 2021 ticket(s) when you receive them in the post next year. Your existing 2020 tickets will not be valid so please make sure the recipient brings the correct 2021 tickets with them to the event.
My children or guests will fall into a different age category of ticket next year, do I need to rebook their ticket?
If you or any of your guests hold a young person’s ticket for this year and will fall into a different age category in 2021, your 2020 tickets will still be honoured.
I have booked a GRRC exclusive product but am not planning to renew my membership, will me tickets still be valid.
Yes, as you did not get the opportunity to attend the event in 2020, we will honour your booking at the same event and day in 2021. You do not need to do anything as new tickets will be issued for 2021 in due course.
What is this 'behind-closed-doors' event?
We are currently in the process of planning a 'behind-closed-doors' event with no attendees at the Goodwood Motor Circuit later in the autumn. Please keep an eye out for further updates and how you can watch via email.
What if my ticket value is not enough to cover the level of GSA that I would like to choose?

If you have already purchased tickets for a 2020 event, you can donate the value of your tickets held in exchange for joining the GSA. To do so, please complete and submit the online form above. You will then receive a confirmation and welcome email once this has been processed by our Ticket Office.
If you have not purchased any tickets for our 2020 events, please select from the GSA membership options above. Once you have purchased your GSA membership, you will receive a confirmation and welcome email.
Can anyone join the GSA?
The Goodwood Supporters' Association is open for anyone to join, but the benefits have been carefully curated to appeal to Goodwood's motorsport enthusiasts following the decision not to hold the Festival of Speed and the Revival in 2020.
Can I donate a different amount to Goodwood?
To support the future of motor racing at Goodwood and the rest of the estate, we are welcoming donations which can be made by contacting us at specialdonation@goodwood.com.
Given the reinvigoration of the GSA and the request for support, does Goodwood now have charitable status and do my 'donations' qualify for Gift Aid?
The GSA initiative is designed to support the Estate through the immediate financial impact of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. If our customers and members wish to support the Estate and are able to do so, this is encouraged and certain donations will be recognised with a specific package of long-lasting benefits, as displayed on the website. However, the Goodwood Estate remains a privately owned, commercial entity and does not have charitable status. As such, donations will not qualify for Gift Aid, but are welcomed as part of the overall GSA initiative.
Is the GSA an ongoing membership?
Unlike traditional memberships, the GSA has been reinvigorated for a very special purpose in addressing a unique set of circumstances. With that in mind, this specific GSA programme is intended to be a one-off programme to support Goodwood through the immediate future. Therefore, all of our benefits have been designed to have long-lasting value in their own right, in order that supporters can be associated with the initiative without an ongoing GSA subscription.
I'm part of the GRRC Fellowship. What benefits do I get?
All those within the GRRC Fellowship are invited to join the GSA by donating into whichever level suits. Those that opt for Level 3, which includes a brass plaque within one of the Motor Circuit Paddock shelters, will be entitled to have their plaque re-located to the exclusive member-only paddock shelters upon becoming a full member.
I'm part of the GRRC Membership. What benefits do I get?
All those within the GRRC Membership will be automatically be enrolled into the Goodwood Supporters' Association. By renewing your GRRC Membership for the 2021 season, foregoing any refund or discount for 2020, we will recognise your ongoing support by including a selection of GSA benefits as part of our 2021 renewal - you do not need to do anything until the renewal process begins. There are additional GSA options for members wishing to make further contributions, details of which are available above.
All the GSA Levels include adopting a group of trees in the new GSA Forest. Will I know which trees are 'mine', and can I visit to see them?
Everyone who joins the GSA will adopt a group of trees in the newly planted GSA Forest, located northwest of the Motor Circuit. Each member of the GSA will be given coordinates of a small area within the woodland (approx. 3m x 3m), which will contain a group of various species of tree planted by the Goodwood Estate. Within your GSA pack you will be given a small booklet with details of the GSA Forest and the species within it. Access will be available should you wish to see your adopted trees in due course. Please note that due to the unknown level of GSA take-up, it is possible you will be sharing an area with other GSA members.
If I select one of the GSA levels which includes a plaque, how do I choose the name on the plaque, and does it have to be my name?
You can add any name on your plaque once you have reached the checkout stage. You can choose to display your name or that of a friend or loved one. Please note that the name you add to your plaque is final.
If I contribute extra and join the GSA Paddock Club and opt for a plaque within a paddock shelter, will I get a paddock shelter to myself?
There are a limited number of member-only paddock shelters at the Motor Circuit, and we are anticipating that this will be a popular GSA benefit. Therefore, please do expect to share a paddock shelter with a group of members. It is our hope that this will be yet another way to strengthen the GRRC community, as members get to know their paddock 'compatriots' as they attend Motor Circuit events and pay repeated visits to their particular paddock shelter. We will also explain the purpose of the plaques to the competitors; it is important that they all understand the contribution you have made in order for them to continue to enjoy racing at Goodwood.
If I choose to exchange some of my existing 2020 ticket value for GSA benefits, what will happen to any remaining balance on my account?
Any remaining balance after joining the GSA will be moved to your account as a credit for any future Goodwood purchases.
What does this mean for my Horseracing/Aero/Health Club/Golf/Kennels membership?
The Goodwood Supporters' Association is open for anyone to join, but the benefits have been carefully curated to appeal to Goodwood's motorsport enthusiasts following the decision not to hold the Festival of Speed and the Revival in 2020. Regarding other sports and Goodwood memberships, we are in close contact with the Government to understand any further impact on the rest of the estate. Our golf club has already reopened. Our resident flyers are able to take to the skies and we have some track activities now taking place at the Motor Circuit. We are hopeful that, within Government guidelines, we can soon open The Kennels and Goodwood Health Club.
Are the Goodwood Supporters' Association and the Goodwood Road Racing Club connected?
The short answer is no. The Goodwood Road Racing Club (GRRC) is a group of people within a Club who receive annual benefits in return for paying an ongoing subscription. The Goodwood Supporters' Association (GSA) is a group of people who come together to support signficant challenges faced by the Goodwood Estate at specific moments in time. Twenty-five years ago, the challenge was to re-open the Circuit, whereas the challenge today is to support the group through the financial consequences of the coronavirus pandemic. The GRRC and GSA are therefore two separate and unconnected entities, with the GRRC being an annual subscription in exchange for ongoing seasonal benefits, and the 'new' GSA being a one-off contribution for long-lasting one-off benefits in return for supporting in the current circumstances. The GSA and GRRC benefits are unconnected, and designed for different purposes. Please note that GRRC members who renew their membership for 2021, foregoing any refund or discount for their 2020 subscription, will be gifted the equivalent of a 'Level 2' GSA membership (available to non-members for £200), but this will not effect any ongoing GRRC benefits.
Am I entitled to a refund or discount on my 2020 membership subscription?
In acknowledging it has been a difficult year for all of our members, we are gifting GSA membership to all members who renew for 2021, foregoing any refund or discount for the 2020 season. We are asking the GRRC community to help weather the storm together in order to help protect the future of the events and experiences you all enjoy. Please note that due to the fact that Family Members pay a premium for additional GRRC benefits, we have also increased the level of gifted GSA benefits accordingly. We hope these gestures go some way to thanking you all for your support.
How do I claim my gifted GSA membership, and when will I receive it?
As a GRRC member, you will automatically be enrolled into the Goodwood Supporters' Association. By renewing your GRRC Membership for the 2021 season, foregoing any refund or discount for 2020, we will recognise your ongoing support by including a selection of GSA benefits as part of our 2021 renewal - you do not need to do anything until the renewal process begins. During the renewal process, you will be asked for the details of the name(s) you would like to display on commemorative plaque(s), and your GSA items will be dispatched with your 2021 membership pack.
As a GRRC member, do I get any exclusive GSA benefits?
The GSA is a wide-ranging initiative, designed to appeal to the entire Goodwood community. That being said, there are certain benefits which are only available to GRRC members. Not only do members receive the public 'Level 2' GSA as part of their membership, but they can also gain access to certain exclusive benefits. Only members can receive the commemorative gold GSA pin (by making a discretionary donation of £50 or above), and only members can join the GSA Paddock Club, which includes invitations to private paddock tours on the eve of the 2021 headline events, and the ability to place your name on an individual plaque within one of the member-only paddock shelters at the Motor Circuit. Note that those within the GRRC Fellowship who opt for a plaque within one of the public paddock shelters can request to move their plaque into a member-only paddock at the point in which they become a full GRRC member.
I am a Family GRRC member. What additional benefit do I receive given my higher membership subscription?
As a Family member, you will be entitled to additional GSA benefits in the same way that Family membership grants additional conventional GRRC benefits. In the case of the GSA, Family members will receive two pin badges (Silver or Gold) as well as two windscreen stickers, and you will have the option to include two names on the brass strip around the perimeter fence or two names on two individual paddock shelter plaques if you upgrade to the GSA Paddock Club. In recognition of the premium that Family members pay for their GRRC subscription, there is no extra charge for any of these additional GSA benefits.
What plaques are available, and how does the process work?
All members that renew for the 2021 season, foregoing any refund or discount for 2020, will be recognised by including a selection of GSA benefits as part of their 2021 GRRC renewal. Included within these benefits is the ability to have your name permanently engraved on a brass plaque along the perimeter fence at the historic Motor Circuit. You will be able to opt into this process during the 2021 renewals process, and you can choose whether to display your name, or that of a friend or loved one. Those that wish to make an additional contribution and join the GSA Paddock Club will have their selected name(s) relocated and placed on individual brass plaques within the prestigious paddock shelters in the member-only section of the Motor Circuit infield. All plaques will be put in place ahead of the 2021 Members' Meeting, provided the renewal or the GSA Paddock Club contribution takes place before 31 December 2020. For transactions after this date, we will do our best to install your plaques in time for the event.
I like the idea of a plaque in my name, but would prefer something that I can display at home - do I have any options?
In recognition of the fact that some people will like to have a memento to keep at home, those that join the GSA paddock club have a choice whether to opt for a commemorative plaque in a member-only paddock shelter, or a limited edition print depicting a special moment from the Festival of Speed or the Revival, personally signed by The Duke of Richmond. There is a selection of prints to choose from, and each will be limited to a run of 200. Prints cannot be purchased individually, but members are entitled to donate to obtain multiple Paddock Club packages.
Members of the public are eligible to have their name engraved on a commemorative wooden marker at FOS. Is this available to GRRC members?
As the spiritual home of the GRRC and as the venue for the Club's annual Members' Meeting, all members automatically have the option of having their name(s) on a commemorative brass strip along the Motor Circuit perimeter fence. This is included within your GRRC membership. As part of the overall GSA programme, the option does exist to place your name on a commemorative wooden marker within the Festival of Speed park. Members are able to obtain this benefit, but will need to donate accordingly in order to receive this benefit as part of the public Level 2 GSA. Those who choose this option will receive this as an additional benefit, and their name on the Motor Circuit fence will remain, meaning there will be two locations at Goodwood that will act as a perpetual reminder of your support.
When will I receive more information about the private paddock tours?
Details regarding the private paddock tours on the eve of our 2021 headline events will be sent to you nearer to the time.
How can I contribute if I would like to donate but do not want to upgrade to the GSA Paddock Club?
All donations are welcome, and discretionary donations from GRRC members will be reciprocated by exchanging your silver GSA pin badge for a gold one. You can donate £50, £100 or £200 on the website, or if you would like to donate a different amount, please contact us at specialdonation@goodwood.com. We recommend a minimum donation of £50.
What is a GSA Patron, and can I become one?
Those wanting to go above and beyond can become a GSA Patron for life. We will recognise each of our Patrons by engraving their names into the new pit wall at the circuit to serve as a perpetual reminder of our appreciation. They will also receive a special bespoke GSA pin, and a Patron’s armband, inspired by those worn by Freddie March in period. We hope people will wear the armband with pride at circuits around the world, acknowledging them as protectors of motorsport at Goodwood. The armband will allow access for the holder plus one guest onto the pit lane gantry at the Revival for life. By becoming a Patron, you will not only be supporting Goodwood but also the future of historic motor racing. To find out more, please email patrons@goodwood.com.
Will there be a GRRC Summer Ball in 2020 and what are my options if I already have tickets?
As an integral part of the Festival of Speed, the GRRC Summer Ball will not be taking place this year. Those with tickets have the same three options as Festival of Speed event ticket-holders; rollover your tickets to the rescheduled date, request a refund (by emailing grrc@goodwood.com), or donate some of your ticket value for additional GSA benefits. The same applies for any other Club events which cannot take place due to the coronavirus pandemic.
