As time wears on the Ford Mustang looks ever more out of place, doesn't it? In a marketplace of plug-in this, hybrid that and in a place where the cost of a litre of fuel has long out-paced a litre of milk, its gargling V8 and bulbous nostrils are downright crass.

But at our hearts, we're not sensible, or creatures of subtlety are we? Given the choice, we'll always burn that last litre of unleaded on a whistling limiter-bashing burnout and then laugh our way to the shops on foot. The Mustang will always get under your skin more than it gets on your nerves and hold your heart hostage. For all its flaws, as we found out in the above video, you can't help but fall for it.
