The Bentaya is possibly the most important car in the history of Bentley. That might seem like an exaggeration, but nearly half of all Bentleys sold are Bentaygas. It launched the Luxury SUV segment, showing Rolls-Royce, Lamborghini and even Ferrari that it’s not only possible to build one, but sell them.

Now, there is a new one. A new one that launches into a world no longer bereft of Luxury SUVs, but practically swimming in them. So the new one has to be good. Handily, Bentley sent one our way for just a few hours to have a taste and see if this car, in V8 guise, would be able to keep Bentley’s place at the top table of luxury motoring.
