Aston Martin has announced Tina Hausmann as its driver for the 2024 F1 Academy season, she joins the Prema team and will race in a specially designed livery.

The 17-year-old has raced across Europe during a busy career to date that saw her competing in Formula 4 in 2023. She scored a podium in the Spanish Formula Winter Series and ranking as the top female driver in Italian F4 this year.
Hausmann will race alongside the likes of Lia Block and Bianca Bustamante in F1 Academy next season, which will see each current F1 team support one driver in the 15-car field.
F1 Academy has also been confirmed among the support series for F1 in 2024, so these drivers will have the chance to showcase their talents in front of the Team Principals across seven rounds.
Alongside Hausmann, Aston Martin also confirmed that Jessica Hawkins will take up the role of Head of Racing for F1 Academy in 2024. Hawkins became the first woman to drive a contemporary F1 car in almost five years in 2023, and will be on hand to provide support for Hausmann throughout the season.

In a statement Hausmann said: “F1 Academy is an incredible opportunity for me; it's an amazing series that I'm proud to be a part of. I know I'll learn so much that will really help me as a driver, including the experience I'll gain from racing at seven new tracks in front of big crowds. It's going to be a whole new world, but I'm so excited to get started.
"I'm also very proud to be competing with PREMA Racing. PREMA is a team that every young driver hopes to race for – they're the best at what they do – and I know that they'll help me develop as I continue in my motorsport career.”
Hawkins added: “"I've always really enjoyed mentoring young drivers, and I'm looking forward to working with Tina as she embarks on this exciting next stage of her motorsport career.
"I think F1 Academy is a natural next step for her and I know, from my experience, that competing on a global stage will benefit her in many different ways. My goal will be to support Tina throughout the year, both on and off track, as it will be a steep learning curve, but one that I'm sure she'll take in her stride."
