When it comes to any kind of racing, you need to get your eye in and build up the pace, before getting serious. Across every discipline, from the elite in contemporary Formula 1 and sportscar racing, to the historic racers at our Revival events, you have practice sessions before drivers start going for times. That’s no different here at the Monaco Historic. So here at the 2024 edition, the air first starts to take on hints of hydrocarbon when the cars go out for a practice session.

It’s expected that it’s in these sessions where drivers are most likely to have a blunder or two and where the cars are most likely to experience teething problems. They then have 24 hours to get their head back in the game and get the cars fighting fit ready for qualifying.
As such, there were a few mishaps and a few cars with issues to stutter sessions throughout the day. By and large, though, it was a successful exploratory day for our cars and drivers in ideal sunny conditions.
