Aysha Bell
Aysha is a yoga teacher, healer, meditation facilitator. She got into the wellness world and has seen first hand how our dogs and cats can benefit from healing practices.
As a Reiki therapist she uses her hands to direct a gentle, natural flow of healing energy into the dog's body in order to bring about deep relaxation and release tension or pain.
Similar to massaging dogs, moving slowly and taking slow deep breaths are key. She will guide participants to close their eyes and visualize healing energy emanating from the palm of their hands. They will lay their hands on their dogs, and envision a healing light and energy radiating into their dog. Continue to take deep breaths and focus.
It may relieve tension or alleviate fears, giving the dog a sense of peace. Note that pain relief and rapid recovery result from treatment, aiding the body's natural healing process. Whether it's a behavioural disorder, injury, or arthritis, dog's malady may be helped by Reiki.
Massage may reduce stress and anxiety, increase circulation, decrease pain, and strengthen the bond between you and your dog. Studies confirm that dogs like contact with their human companions and they experience an increase of "feel-good" hormones. Science also shows that dogs tend to follow the advice and example of their human companions for solving problems.
