In early 2022 the Flying School introduced a new, purpose-built Cessna 172 simulator to the fleet. The feel and response of the controls have been fine-tuned to replicate our aircraft as closely as possible. This will allow pilots to explore a range of technical malfunctions and weather conditions in a safe environment, enhancing skills gained in the real aircraft. The high quality visuals will quickly have you immersed.

Regular use of the flight simulator can improve a pilot’s confidence and broaden their horizons by familiarising them with a wide range of situations, whilst developing essential non-technical skills. The other significant advantage is that it can be used all year round, whatever the weather. This allows pilots to maintain skills and continuity during periods of weather unsuitable for flying.

Use of the simulator is priced at £110 per hour, including VAT. You do not need to be a Goodwood Aero Club member or enrolled on a course of training with us in order to use the simulator.
