To understand the world’s love affair with the Land Rover, you need to drive one and preferably drive a classic. We make no bones about it, these vehicles have seen life, and they have character and patina, which makes them totally unique. As quintessentially British as a plate of fish and chips, the boxy, utilitarian Land Rover has become an iconic part of what it is to be British.
Feel every bump and drop as you adventure through the rutted off-road tracks at Goodwood Motor Circuit in our fleet of classic Land Rovers from the 1960s. Embrace the bouncy ride and lack of modern technology as you master the challenges of driving an off-road vehicle from over 50 years ago.
There are 2 options to choose from:
Individual Off-Road Experience - £149 per person
- 1 hour experience with approximately 50-minutes of driving
- Space for up to 3 passengers
Group Off-Road Experience - £299 per group (up to 4 people)
- 2-hour experience with approximately 1 hour and 50-minutes of driving
- Available for up to 4 drivers
What else is included:
- Explore narrow and tricky trenches, steep descents, challenging inclines and mud traps in a classic Land Rover with up to three friends or family.
- Driving activities including the timber slalom, the axle twist and log bridge. For more information on the activities and vehicles click here.
- A drivers briefing and introduction to the vehicle
- An instructor to provide advice on vehicle control, obstacle handling and stories from the Estate
- Tea, coffee and biscuits
Your Car
Your voucher or slot booking entitles you to the sole use of the vehicle. You will not share the vehicle with any other customers other than the people you bring with you. You are welcome to bring up three guests.
Numbers on the Day
For the individual experience, the driver can bring up to 3 passengers.
The group experience is available for up to 4 drivers.
Participant Guidelines
Drivers must hold a full driving licence which will need to be presented on the day, - photocopies will not be accepted. All drivers must have a good understanding of the English language for instruction purposes. All drivers and passengers need to be in reasonable health and have no health conditions that could affect their ability to take part in the activity. Please note: anyone deemed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to participate. In the interests of safety, the organisers and instructors may exclude a participant going on track.
Child Policy guidelines
Children aged 4 and under are not permitted to passenger rides in the classic Land Rovers.
Children aged 5 to 12 are permitted to ride as long as they are accompanied by an adjacent adult who is the Parent or Guardian and is in the front or rear part of the vehicle at all times.
For Children aged 13-18, passenger rides are permitted as long as they are accompanied by Parent or Guardian in the vehicle at all times.
Weather
Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. snow, ice, heavy rain or high winds). Please call 01243 755055 if in any doubt.
Duration
For the individual experience - Expect to be at the venue for an hour. This will include sign on, a briefing with your instructor, and approximately 50 minutes of driving time. Arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time for registration.
For the group experience - Expect to be at the venue for 2 hours. This will include sign on, a briefing with your instructor, and approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes of driving time. Arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time for registration.
Spectators
Family, friends and children are welcome to come along with you on the day. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. Dogs are permitted but must be kept on a leash at all times. The Aerodrome Cafe at the Motor Circuit sells coffees, soft drinks and hot and cold snacks.
Dress Code
Please wear suitable clothing appropriate for the activity. Dress in comfortable clothing suitable for driving. Trousers are compulsory. Flip flops, sandals and shorts are not allowed. A helmet is provided.
Buying as a Gift
Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
Other Info
The vehicles are covered by comprehensive accident insurance but this will not apply if you drive recklessly, dangerously or if you cause damage to yourself or anyone else. The person driving the car will be required to sign a disclaimer accepting liability in the event of damage being caused to the car through their negligence.

1. Choose an experience and place your order
Browse through our Ultimate Driving experiences or Track Days and find the perfect gift or treat yourself to something you've always wanted to do. Add your gift to the basket and then proceed through our secure checkout. You'll receive an order confirmation at the end of the checkout confirming all your details and what you have purchased. Alternatively, if you want to book a date and time there and then, this can also be done online.
2. Once you receive your voucher
Your gift will be sent within three working days of purchase. Inside you'll find your Goodwood gift voucher which includes a map of the circuit and what you need to bring with you.
3. Book your experience
Please choose a date and time that suits you from the available dates online. Call the Ticket Office on 01243 755055 and make your booking. Your voucher will be valid for 12 months from date of purchase and your voucher must be booked and used within this time.
4. Enjoy your experience
The time has come to enjoy your driving experience at Goodwood Motor Circuit. If we are experiencing extreme weather conditions (e.g. snow, ice, heavy rain or high winds) please do give us a quick call to confirm your experience is still running.
