Welcome to Goodwood

A message from The Duke of Richmond and Gordon
Welcome
Welcome to Goodwood. I hope that your visit, whether physical or digital, is a memorable experience.
Tradition and innovation
My family has lived here for over 300 years and throughout this time there has been a strong tradition of innovation. The first Duke of Richmond, son of King Charles II, chose Goodwood as his country retreat and bought the original Jacobean house in 1697. There have since been ten successive Dukes, and throughout that time, friends and guests have been coming to Goodwood to enjoy horseracing, motor racing, golf, flying, shooting and cricket, all of which have been introduced by enthusiastic family members.
Home of exceptional experiences
As we embrace the future and Goodwood continues to grow and evolve, we have bold ambitions to continue to take our estate beyond its historic roots in the English countryside where our sporting heritage began.
Already recognised around the world for our flagship events, which include the Festival of Speed, the Qatar Goodwood Festival and Goodwood Revival, we want to be known as the home of exceptional luxury experiences.
A year-round experience
Goodwood is not only an important part of the international horseracing and motorsport calendars, but is open to everyone all year round. In addition to the racecourse and historic motor circuit, the estate includes an organic farm, four restaurants, two 18-hole golf courses, a private members club, an aerodrome, a health club, a lovely country hotel and a 10-bedroom luxury retreat.
Sharing passions
Constantly busy, and changing with the seasons, Goodwood is a place that brings people together to enjoy and share their passions, whatever they are – sporting or otherwise.
I do hope to welcome you to Goodwood soon.
