The Goodwood Culinary Academy
A two-year engagement that will equip the trainee with in-depth on-the-job training in all aspects of food preparation, food production, safety and basic costings, whilst gaining industry-recognised qualifications and professional kitchen experience.
The Culinary Academy has been designed to inspire, nurture and motivate young people from the local area into the industry.
Launched in 2018, the two-year programme equips trainees with in-depth on-the-job training in all aspects of food so they can become "industry ready" chefs.

Year one review
A rotating programme of six-week placements
Goodwood offers a broad range of experiences like nowhere else. A rotating programme of on-site six-week placements in the following business areas at Goodwood.
- Home Farm – our free-range organic farm
- Dairy and Cheese Making, plus Home Farm Butchery
- Farmer, Butcher, Chef & The Bar & Grill
- The Kennels & Hound Lodge
- Goodwood House & Motor Circuit
